1. Why does the top of my SEAL-A-DOOR sag when I put it in the doorway?
SEAL-A-DOOR was built to be versatile and to be kept as affordable as possible. We wanted it to be usable in most commercial and/or residential applications. The jamb in a typical residential doorway reduces the opening to 35"; however, SEAL-A-DOOR is made to fit in a 36" opening. This 1" difference is what caused the "sag" in the residential application. The commercial jamb system does NOT reduce the opening, so as long as the SEAL-A-DOOR frame is flush to the doorway frame, no sag should exist in the commercial entry.
2. How do I eliminate the sag?
There are two possible corrections:
3. How does the Seal-A-Door perform in windy conditions?
Typically, quite well. However, recognize that it is solid fabric and will act like a "sail" cupping the wind. The more severe the wind, the greater the possibility it will collapse inward, falling thru the doorway and into the home's entryway. The stronger the compression, the better the hold. Always try to avoid using in a doorway that is subject to straight-on wind when the wind is consistently over 30 mph. A side door or a garage service door would be a better choice when the wind is approaching severe conditions.
4. Does Seal-A-Door protect the home from exhaust emissions from my truck?
Absolutely NOT! Always park your van or truck pointed AWAY from the entryway. Wafting exhaust fumes can/will kill. Protect yourself, your employees, and the homeowner's family from YOUR exhaust fumes! A CO2 detector right inside the SEAL-A-DOOR is always a GREAT idea!
5. "Do you guys do the logo application?"
No. We recommend it be done locally to you...probably by the same people that would have done your van/truck wrap. Just be sure that the vendor you choose understands vinyl and the special care it requires for surface prep, cure time, etc.
We also recommend "Small is better than large!" With all of the rolling and unrolling you will do with your SEAL-A-DOOR, the logo vinyl will start to wrinkle over time and begin to look a bit shoddy. The bigger the logo, the more wear-and-tear it will endure. Just our opinion.
